Transforming a damp, unused cellar into a modern home office and gym space

This recent cellar conversion in Kendal completely transformed an unutilised and damp basement into a bright, practical, and comfortable living space.

The project began with the full removal of existing damp plaster and damaged materials. Once cleared, we installed a Cavity Membrane System with a sump pump to provide long-term protection against moisture and ensure the cellar remains completely dry.

After the waterproofing was in place, the space was replastered and fully re-fitted. We installed new electrics throughout, including spotlights and wall lights to create a warm, modern atmosphere. Our team also completed custom joinery to neatly conceal the utility and electrical boxes, achieving a clean, professional finish.
