This project in Eccleston, Chorley, involved the full treatment of damp issues affecting the property’s chimney breasts. The work began with the removal of existing plaster and damaged materials to expose the underlying brickwork.
Once the surfaces were prepared, a DPC (Damp Proof Course) injection was carried out along the base of the chimney breasts to stop rising damp and prevent future moisture from travelling up through the walls.

After the injection, a DPM (Damp Proof Membrane) was applied and securely fixed to the treated areas, creating a continuous moisture barrier and providing a clean, dry surface ready for replastering and finishing.
These steps ensure long-term protection against damp and provide a solid foundation for restoring the room to a dry, healthy condition.
